What To Expect
To give participants a firm foundation in business related knowledge and skills, with a view to commencing a career, improving employment opportunities and enabling an immediate improved contribution to one’s place of employment.
Successful completion of the course will afford students the opportunity of progressing to a Bachelor Degree or other courses in Business, Management and Accounting.
Duration & Delivery
Trimester 1: Four modules over two evenings per week, 6pm-10pm
Trimester 2: Six modules over three evenings per week, 6pm-10pm
Trimester 3: Two modules over two evenings per week, 6pm-10pm
This programme runs under a blended delivery mode . While much of the course delivery will take place online, students will be required to attend campus at least twice per module over a semester. Students will have to attend on-campus during semester for some continuous assessment components and also final examinations at the end of each semester.
ACCS Scheme
The ACCS scheme (Accumulation of Credits and Certification of Subjects) is a specially designed system for part-time students. It allows students to study one or more subjects at a time and obtain credit for each subject passed. Students who accumulate the appropriate number of modules qualify for the award of Higher Certificate.
Applications
Leaving Certificate Grade O6/H7 (pre. 2017, Grade D3 Ordinary Level) in five subjects, to include Mathematics and either English or Irish. Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.
Course fee: €220 per 5 credit module (inc. exam fees)
All part-time programmes at MTU will run subject to sufficient student numbers. Where a programme cannot proceed, applicants will be contacted and advised on alternative study options.
Students should note that fees quoted relate to the current academic year only and are subject to change on an annual basis. Except where stated, course fees cover the cost of tuition only.

Please note that applicants will be required to pay an acceptance fee of €450 online if a place on a course is offered. This fee is deductible from the overall course fee.
