Overview
The Certificate in Applied Mentoring Practice is a part-time programme, delivered over two semesters, designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to mentor effectively within the workplace. Grounded in research and real-world application, the programme supports professionals in enhancing personal growth, leadership, and organisational development through structured mentoring.
Whether you’re looking to formalise existing mentoring experience or embed a mentoring culture in your organisation, this course offers a flexible, practice-oriented learning experience tailored to your professional context.
What will I study?
In Semester 1, participants develop key competencies essential to managing a formal mentoring relationship, with a focus on core mentoring principles, coaching skills, communication and ethical considerations.
In Semester 2, participants apply this learning by engaging in a structured, one-to-one mentoring relationship with a mentee within their organisation, supported throughout by the programme team.
The integration of classroom-based instruction with practice-based assessment provides participants with both a deep theoretical understanding and practical experience, enabling them to confidently apply mentoring skills and effectively manage mentoring relationships.
Why choose this programme?
The programme is built on research and best practices in mentoring, it is delivered by an experienced team in mentoring and coaching, and it is designed for real-world implementation in your own organisational context.
The programme aims to enhance communication, leadership, and reflective capabilities, strengthening participants ability to support others, influence workplace culture, and lead through mentoring.
