What To Expect
The programme is designed to expose students to topical issues in the Human Resource Management discipline. This degree has been designed in consultation with industry to respond to changes that have taken place in the HR area. This consultation has informed the suite of modules and their content.
The BA (Honours) in Human Resource Management is a one year Level 8 add-on programme. This Level 8, Honours Degree, will allow graduates to apply for Level 9 Masters programmes, such as the MA in Human Resource Management, and will aid them as their career progresses to strategic roles in organisations.
Course Delivery
Semester One – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm -10pm
Semester Two – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm -10pm
Students can apply to complete this course over 1 academic year (60 Credits) or over 2 academic years (30 credits per year).

Applications
Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management (Level 7) at grade H2.2 or higher. Graduates of cognate programmes that have achieved 180 credits may also be eligible. For those who do not meet this requirement, application to the Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management is recommended. (Recognition of Prior Learning can be explored for prior studies or work experience)
The programme is offered on a modular basis and requires learners to attain 60 credits.
What is RPL?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is when formal recognition is given for what you already know prior to starting on a programme or module. With recognition of prior learning the focus is on learning and not on experience as such. You can apply for RPL in any MTU accredited programme or module. Programmes which are accredited by professional bodies or any external awarding bodies may have their own procedures for RPL which you should refer to.
